Personal highlights for Niykee include getting selected to be part of Snoop in the YouTube Brandcast, in May 2013 and composing songs, despite the turbulence over the last few years. As a producer magnet, Niykee is constantly looking through the many beats that are delivered to her. She has found that the majority beats spark fresh songs. She says that she can tell if the beat is good in just 5 minutes. And then, a brand new song will pop into her brain. My guitar is set up on the back of my porch and I let the words flow. Most of the time, it's done in less than 30 minutes. Niykee says that when she grows as a lyricist her painful memories from her youth serve as inspiration. Even when I'm not writing directly about events that have happened to me all the pain of my childhood and loss of my sister being incorporated into my songs, she states. The pain of losing my sister as well as my childhood influence the music that I create. It's crucial for me to attach a profound significance to all I do.
