Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco was born in Canada, and is now American. There are more than 20 albums. DiFranco categorizes her music as folk-rock or alternative. However, it has influences from punk, hip-hop and jazz. A feminist icon widely recognized as Grammy award winner Ani DiFranco is considered to be the father of the DIY movement and is among the first artists to create her own record label in 1990.
